Locum Doctors A number of fully qualified and experienced GPs work for the practice in order to provide cover for our partners when they are on leave. They have full access to your medical notes, and are able to offer the full range of medical services. |
Junior Doctors As a training practice we often have ‘Junior Doctors’ working in the practice for periods of 4-12 months. They are qualified doctors who are able to investigate and treat patients; however, they remain under the supervision of the trained GPs within the practice. Do not be concerned if, during your consultation, they wish to discuss your case with a supervising GP. |
Medical Students As we are a teaching practice medical and nursing students are frequently attached to the practice. Students will sit in to observe practice staff, and medical students will also have some limited appointments themselves. During these appointments a GP will be supervising, and will always see you themselves as well. We hope you will understand that their time in general practice is an important part of their training, however, if you would prefer to be seen without the student present, please advise the doctor or nurse when they call for you (or at any time during the consultation). |
