Repeat Prescriptions
- A repeat prescription is any medicine or item listed on your printed reorder slip (attached to your prescription).
- A “special request” is a medicine which is not printed on your reorder slip e.g. the patient has written the medicine onto the slip. A “special request” can take longer than 2 working days to process as the GP has to check whether it is appropriate to continue with this medicine.
- To ensure you do not run out of your regular medication please reorder when you a minimum of 7 days worth of medicines left.

ONLINE PRESCRIPTION REQUEST
Please note, for safety reasons we regret we cannot accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions.
Your prescription can be sent to your chosen chemist or posted back to you if you enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, advanced nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
